European Union Law/Embargo Measures

Iran

In accordance with the Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/1124 of 23 June 2017 (OJ L 163 of 24.6.2017, p. 4) implementing Regulation (EU) No. 267/2012 concerning restrictive measures against Iran, the entries related to 23 persons and 14 entities were amended in Annex VIII to Regulation (EU) No. 267/2012.

North Korea

In accordance with the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/993 of 12 June 2017 (OJ L 149 of 13.6.2017, p. 67) amending Council Regulation (EC) No. 329/2007 concerning restrictive measures against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, one person and one entity were removed from the list of individuals and entities subject to restrictive measures in Annex V to Regulation (EC) No. 329/2007. Furthermore, the other entries in the list were updated.

Syria

In accordance with the Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/1241 of 10 July 2017 (OJ L 178 of 11.7.2017, p. 1) implementing Regulation (EU) No. 36/2012 concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Syria, one person was removed from the list of persons, entities and bodies subject to restrictive measures in Annex II to Regulation (EU) No. 36/2012, one entity was added to the list and the entry related to one person was updated.

Central African Republic

With the Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/1090 of 20 June 2017 (OJ L 158 of 21.6.2017, page 1) implementing Article 17 (1) of Regulation (EU) No. 224/2014 concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in the Central African Republic, the identifying information related to one person was completed in the list of persons and entities subject to restrictive measures in Annex I to Regulation (EU) No. 224/2014.

The amendment implements the Decision adopted by the Committee of the United Nations Security Council on 17 May 2017.

Al Qaida and ISIL (Da´esh)

In accordance with the Commission Implementing Regulations (EU) 2017/998 of 12 June 2017 (OJ L 150 of 14.6.2017, p. 5), (EU) 2017/1094 of 20 June 2017 (OJ L 158 of 21.6.2017, p. 27), (EU) 2017/1235 of 6 July 2017 (OJ L 177 of 8.7.2017, p. 32) and (EU) 2017/1251 of 11 July 2017 (OJ L 179 of 12.7.2017, p. 6) amending for the 268th to 271st times Regulation (EC) No. 881/2002 imposing certain specific restrictive measures directed against certain persons and entities associated with ISIL (Da´esh)- and Al-Qaida organisations, the entry related to one entity was amended, one entity and one person were added and three persons were removed from the list set out in Annex I to Regulation (EC) No. 881/2002.

The amendments implement Decisions adopted by the Sanctions Committee of the United Nations Security Council on 7 and 16 June as well as on 3 and 6 July 2017.
